ResponsibilitiesSHIFT HOURS: Sunday – Friday 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair for production and support equipment. Must utilize safe work practices and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism. Works under general supervision and on projects that are typically complex and require original thinking and action. General directions are given on unusual or new assignments; works independently on majority of activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all Amcor Safety Working PoliciesFollow all Company policies as outlined in HandbookProactively troubleshoots, repairs, and corrects mechanical and process problems to ensure performance capability and capacity of production equipmentAssist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical breakdown of AC / DC drives and inverters to include programming and start up configuration/tuningOperates meters, power supplies, service monitors and test fixtures and understands their use and functionMaintain a working knowledge of all plant operating systems and readily access records of diagrams & schematics.Provides 24/7 technical support for productionRegularly inspects production lines and support equipment and performs necessary repairs and upgrades during preventative maintenance cyclesOperates hand tools and small power tools to include cutting of small partsLeads assembly, installation, disassembly, and demolition of production equipment and building support equipment as required for upgrades or new installationsMaintains a neat and orderly work area; meets plant and department housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional housekeeping responsibilities throughout the plant as needed to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.Observes safety and security and security proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned or requested Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent or combination of work experience and education2 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance including troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systemsAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentMust have solid electrical and mechanical skillsMust be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematicsMust demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervisionPossess basic computer skillsPossess basic mathematical skillsPossess experience using hand toolsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl while working on a variety of machinery for the duration of a 9 ½ hour shift.Able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.Must be able to climb ladders, work from a lift, work with and around electricity, and may be required to work in confined spaces.Must be able to work at height equivalent to a 4-5 story building.Able to use all required safety equipment – harnesses, bump cap, steel toed safety shoes, gloves, glasses, etc.Able to work in excessive hot/cold conditions, including outside.
