Job DescriptionJob Overview:
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and modifying parts using various metal working techniques. You'll intepret technical drawings, operate machinery and tools, and work closely with the engineering and production teams to meet specifications and deadlines. Work involves fusing metal materials together using high heat equipment and welding processes susch as MIG, TIG, and electric arc welding. Welding jobs consist of working with stainless steel, mild steel, tools steel, and aluminum. Work processes involve utilizing high heat processes such as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, metal inert gas (MIG) welding, plasma arc welding, and various other specialized processes in fabrication or repairing metal structures. Must also be capable of assembling per drawing.
Key Responsabilities:
Interpret manufacturing blueprints, schematics, and instructions Measure, cut, and shape raw materials including metal, plastic, and composite materials Use welding, soldering, and mechanical joining techniques to assemble parts Operate equipment such as drill presses, grinders, lathes, and CNC machines Maintain accurancy and consistency throughout the fabricationn process Inspect completed work for defects and ensure quality control standards are met Collaborate with engineers, machine operators, and quality assurance teams Maintain a clean and organized work area following Southwire safety protocols Perform welding processes including MIG, TIG electric arc, and plasma arc weldingEducation, Experience & Skills:
