Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our City of Industry team and help ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Works with operations engineering to improve process flow and design, implement, and review the factory layout and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Also works with facilities management to provide support in facility tasks (in-house facility and maintenance repairs).

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to reduce downtime.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns efficiently to minimize production disruptions.Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other maintenance team members to improve equipment reliability.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Utilize a PC for troubleshooting equipment, accessing manuals, and documenting maintenance activities.Note: Facility has single shift, however, the schedule will alternate early/late start with other technicians and may include some Saturday shifts.Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.  Universal Robots Collaborative Robot Arm experience a plus.PC Proficiency: Comfortable using a PC for data entry, accessing troubleshooting guides and equipment manuals, and for entering work orders, tracking maintenance history, and generating reports.Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess issues and implement effective solutions.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 65 lbs, work in confined spaces and at heights on ladders and scissor lifts.  Ability to stand for extended periods.Safety Conscious: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best safety practices.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $60,000 USD - $85,000 USD. This is a non-exempt role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
