Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures the operational efficiency of equipment to support production goals and maintains a safe working environment by adhering to maintenance schedules and safety protocols.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and machinery.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure operational efficiency.Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments for maintenance tasks.Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and safety protocols.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals for equipment maintenance.Perform equipment calibration, lubrication, and repair as needed.Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Experience with 3-phase electrical systems and 480 Voltage.Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.Proficiency in using diagnostic instruments such as multimeters and pressure gauges.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with precision measuring instruments.Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures.Familiarity with preventive maintenance and repair techniques.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing plant that features noise, machines, and varying temperatures. The position requires hands-on work with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally work from heights. Training is provided on the day shift, with a swing shift schedule of 3pm - 11:30pm, which may vary slightly to start at 2pm or 2:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bernalillo, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
