Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and support a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, and welding systems within an industrial setting.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily MSHA-compliant pre-shift inspections and safety checks.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Conduct preventative maintenance on motors, conveyors, and other plant equipment.Weld, fabricate, cut, and grind using stick, wire, and oxy-acetylene.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.Assist with general plant upkeep, including shoveling, sweeping, and equipment cleaning.Collaborate with kiln operators and quality control to ensure product standards.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.Essential SkillsStrong understanding of OSHA regulations and general plant safety protocols.Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Experience with preventative maintenance on motors, conveyors, and other plant equipment.Ability to troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems.Familiarity with electrical wiring, components, and test equipment.Proficient in stick and wire welding, cutting, grinding, and using oxy-acetylene torches.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.Proficient in welding (stick, wire), brazing, soldering, and torch operation.Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and troubleshooting.Comfortable working in outdoor environments and at heights up to 60 feet.Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and performing manual labor.Willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Very industrial aggregate plant located about a 1-hour commute from Central Bakersfield. The environment can be dusty and rough on cars, requiring adaptability to outdoor conditions including hot, cold, and dusty settings.

This is a Contract position based out of Frazier Park, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.40 - $27.00/hr.
