**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressor systems, mills, shakers, packaging systems, pumps, rollup doors, and other miscellaneous repairs. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressor systems, mills, shakers, packaging systems, and pumps.
+ Perform miscellaneous repairs as needed.
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and repair them safely and efficiently.
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
+ Read and interpret equipment instruction manuals, manufacturing processes, and procedures.
+ Work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision.
+ Operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with rapidly changing priorities.
+ Handle amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals in both powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.
+ Exercise independent judgment to identify complex problems and develop solutions.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining equipment and performing repairs.
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and repair them efficiently.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, drawings, and equipment instruction manuals.
+ Proficiency in spoken and written English.
+ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associate Degree or courses in a mechanical and/or technical discipline preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is manufacturing casual, requiring steel-toe footwear. Depending on the area of the floor, appropriate attire such as clean room jumpsuits or lab coats may be necessary. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CARLSBAD, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.26 - $26.66/hr.
