Position Summary:Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs scheduled inspections, routine service, complex repairs, and advanced aircraft maintenance on various airframe types. You will ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, internal policies, and OEM documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on a variety of aircraft Execute work orders based on service bulletins, inspection reports, CAMP cards, and other documentation Conduct advanced modifications, corrosion control, landing gear overhauls, and engine removals Ensure all work complies with FAA standards, maintenance manuals, and company requirements Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all required documentation, sign-offs, and component tracking is accurate and complete Provide mentorship and on-the-job training (OJT) to junior technicians Conduct functional tests to verify system performance and aircraft reliability Maintain safety and cleanliness in work areas and hangars Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Aviation Maintenance preferred Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required At least 6 years of progressive maintenance experience in business aviation or military settings Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and aircraft maintenance manuals Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to speak, read, and write in English Required Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hands-on aircraft maintenance skills Effective communicator with the ability to provide clear instruction and mentorship Comfortable working independently or as part of a team Adheres strictly to safety, quality, and procedural standards Work Environment:Work is primarily conducted in a hangar environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Technicians may be subject to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and physical activity including lifting, standing, and bending.
