Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician in a union facility, offering opportunities on the 2nd or 3rd shift. Employees can choose their preferred shift, with openings available on Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday schedules. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, focusing on diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems, performing routine preventative maintenance, and collaborating with plant operations and outside contractors.
ResponsibilitiesAdjust or repair packaging equipment.Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance tasks while documenting all activities.Diagnose mechanical problems, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.Collaborate with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingElectrical knowledge, including the ability to test and repair 110-480v electric motors, circuits, and switches.Preventive maintenanceKnowledge of LOTO (Lock out Tag out) and Emergency Response ProceduresMechanical skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsGeneral understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.Good interpersonal skills are essential.Higher pay rate available for proof of certain certifications and licenses.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a dairy manufacturing food plant, maintaining plant utilities such as boilers, HVAC systems, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia systems, and building and grounds maintenance. Training is typically on the day shift to ensure comprehensive learning about the facility and equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.90 - $36.25/hr.
