We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Louisa, VA surrounding area.
We are currently seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to support a variety of facility and equipment maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of electro-mechanical experience, basic facility maintenance skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment, including sewing machines and industrial machinery. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities:  Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systemsDiagnose and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, including sewing machinesBasic facility upkeep including fixing toilets, replacing light fixtures, patching/painting walls, and general cleaningInterpret and utilize service manuals, circuit diagrams, and maintenance instructionsUse precision measuring tools and operate tool room machines and related equipmentMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (preferred)Prioritize work orders and manage time efficiently to minimize equipment downtimeSupport safety and compliance initiatives across all facility operations
Basic Hiring CriteriaPrior experience maintaining or repairing sewing machines is a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of digital electronics and electro-mechanical systemsAbility to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentationExperience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipmentFamiliarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking (preferred)Excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to lift, bend, and work in physically demanding environmentsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
