Description We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team in Lawrence, Indiana. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Responsibilities: • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as removing trash, cleaning floors, and maintaining the lobby area. • Conduct basic maintenance activities, including unclogging sinks, toilets, and drains, and replacing light bulbs. • Address on-call maintenance needs promptly and communicate effectively with vendors for complex repairs. • Ensure the grounds are kept clean and presentable by regularly picking up debris. • Collaborate with team members to address maintenance requests efficiently and professionally. • Maintain flexibility to work across multiple sites, including senior housing and multi-family buildings. • Use communication tools to coordinate tasks and provide updates. • Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving facility issues and ensuring resident satisfaction. • Monitor and report any major facility concerns to appropriate vendors or supervisors. • Support the overall upkeep and functionality of the facilities to meet organizational standards. Requirements Requirements: • Proven experience in a facilities assistant or maintenance role. • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains and replacing light bulbs. • Strong communication skills for effective coordination with vendors and team members. • Flexibility to work across different locations and adapt to varying schedules. • Availability for on-call responsibilities as needed. • Familiarity with tools and equipment used for general maintenance. • Ability to maintain cleanliness and order in both indoor and outdoor spaces. • Commitment to providing excellent service to residents and maintaining facility standards.
