Maintenance Technician
**Olsten Staffing is searching for a Maintenance Technician with experience in Manufacturing.** The Industrial Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks in a manufacturing or industrial setting. This includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic PLC troubleshooting work to maintain and repair production machinery, equipment, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and uptime. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and packaging equipment. + Diagnose and resolve issues related to motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, relays, VFDs, and other industrial components. + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. + Install, align, and commission new machinery and equipment. + Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. + Calibrate and repair instrumentation and control systems as needed. + Assist in basic PLC diagnostics and interface with automation systems. + Weld, fabricate, and machine small components as required. + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency. + Document work performed using CMMS or maintenance logs. + Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies at all times. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis. **Main Targets or Criteria for Performance Assessment:** + Quality and timeliness of preventative maintenance completion + Skill in navigating PLC logic and diagnosing I/O control issues + Compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC and other relevant standards + Consistent use of PPE + Following LOTO procedures + Response time when on call + Plant uptime + Completion of relevant documents and reports + Collaboration and communication + Root Cause Analysis **Additional Expectations / Job Duties:** + Adherence to Plant safety standards + Powered Industrial Truck and aerial lift Certification + Maintain good DMV record, drive company fleet vehicles on occasional errands + Contribute to improving work processes + Willingness to learn and improve technical or job related skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication and time management skills. **Qualifications:** **Compliance Requirements:** + Adherence to Plant safety standards 1. Completion of required annual training **Education & Experience:** + High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred. + 3+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial maintenance role within a manufacturing environment. **Skills & Competencies:** + Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and drive systems. + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including AC/DC circuits, sensors, and VFDs. + Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is a plus. + Ability to weld (MIG/TIG/Stick) and fabricate as needed. + Experience using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and hand/power tools. + Lockout/Tagout + OSHA 30 certification (preferred) + MASC certification as a Journeyman Electrician (preferred) **Physical Requirements & Work Environment:** + Work performed in a production/industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, and moving machinery. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed. + Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as required. **Pay Details:** $28.00 to $32.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
