Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs throughout the plant, ensuring equipment is maintained and installed in compliance with all plant policies and procedures. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures. + Work with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment. + Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications for installations. + Use hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, and testing instruments. + Maintain all company assets at the highest level of availability by executing the PM schedule. + Diagnose and troubleshoot root cause on equipment in a professional and timely manner. + Collaborate with operators on process improvements and train them on routine preventative maintenance. + Support engineering and continuous improvement projects including trials and installation. + Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance department and after completing jobs. + Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. + Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair. + Repair hydraulic components. + Perform preventive maintenance tasks. + Track work orders manually. + Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting. + All other duties as assigned by the manager. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. + Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. + Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Experience with diagnostic tools such as Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Amp Probe, and Infrared Thermometer. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Experience with motors, 3 phase systems, and 400v electrical systems. + Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. + PLC troubleshooting skills. + Welding and maintenance repair skills. + HVAC experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must have mechanical skills, specifically in hydraulics and pneumatics. + OR electrical abilities with troubleshooting proficiency. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy full benefits upon permanent hire, including a 401k with company match. The facility can become warm with all presses running but is well-lit. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buford, Georgia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
