Maintenance Technician
Pertemps Industrial are recruiting for a maintenance technician to work for one of our clients based in central Bristol, BS1.
 
We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of putting residents first, addressing their needs promptly and professionally and ensuring the student accommodation provides a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. Permanent contract available for the right candidate!

This role is perfect for anyone with experience in the following roles: Maintenance worker, Electrician, Electrician's Mate, Plumber and Plumber's mate, handymen, facilities worker, engineering apprentices, construction site labourers.

Key Details:
Rate: Up to £14.66 per hourShifts: 08:30 – 16:30 daily ( can be slightly flexible )Type: Temporary / Contract / 3 Months - ( Permanent contract available for the right candidate! )Location: Central Bristol, BS1ASAP start following interviewWhat you`ll be doing as a Facilities Team Member

Resolving a variety of general maintenance issues and problems including basic plastering, window and door repairs, completing like-for-like electrical changes and basic plumbingApplying silicone sealant in kitchens, bathrooms, and around windows/doors ( experience in using sealant applicators is very desired )Responding to any Health and Safety related callsCompleting planned inspections and rectifying any remedial worksLogging any maintenance issues and follow up accordinglyReporting any repairs or issues to site managementApplying silicone sealant in kitchens, bathrooms, and around windows/doorsDecorating and Painting, moving furniture, carpet laying. 
What we`re looking for in you
The student experience is at the forefront of everything we do, so you'll be passionate and have experience in delivering top customer service!You`ll have knowledge working within general maintenance, including using sealant, basic plumbing and basic electrical skills (desireable)Problem Solving: You're quick to assess a situation and take effective action, whether it’s responding to a safety concern or fixing something that’s not working as it shouldIndependant: You take ownership of your tasks, work independently when needed, and keep things running smoothly without needing to be micromanagedFlexibility: You’re adaptable and happy to pitch in when priorities shift, which can happen in a busy student accommodation setting.
