Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing a wide variety of injection molding and assembly machines along with other automated equipment. Must also be able to perform building maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Work with blueprints, schematics, SOP’s and machine manualsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of molding and automated machinery using available technologyOperate drill press, grinder, welding, and other maintenance equipment to fabricate or repair partsAbility to troubleshoot/diagnose Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (preferred but not required)Working knowledge of programming of PLCs a plus) (preferred but not required)Perform troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and powered, electronically controlled robotic systemsAbility to use precision measuring equipment and electrical testing instruments associated with a manufacturing settingPerform routine preventative maintenance functions per scheduleAbility to maintain computer-based machine repair and PM records systemComply with OSHA and all safety practices in repair and installationFollow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly conditionOther tasks and duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum two-year degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent work experience and trainingCollege or equivalent education including specialty certification for Hydraulics, pneumatics, and (or) electrical (required)At least 7 years' technical experience with plastic injection molding preferred, along with hands-on experience with raw materials, mold set-up, and troubleshooting skills for electric injection machines and auxiliary equipmentEffective communicator, both written and verbal (English); good visual skills and reasoning abilityAbility to maintain accurate recordsAbility to lift 55 lbs.Above basic math skills and reasoning abilityStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform preventive maintenance functionsAvailability to work overtime and weekends as neededAbility to convert customer specifications to value added solutionsSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
