Maintenance Technician - Cutting

What can you expect?

The maintenance team is based in Tikoe Industrial Area, Maseru, Lesotho. Our responsibility is to support daily operations by preventing machinery from failure, maintaining effective Total Productive Maintenance within the plant and fault tracing on electrical equipment and CNC machines.As the local team, we have full integration to the regional SAF Adient structure with most support functions leadership based in South Africa.

What will your responsibilities be?

Responsible for all electrical activities on assigned shifts including equipment changeover and Preventive maintenance services of the physical plant.Responsible to record repairs and parts replaced and possible reasons for breakdowns (Job Cards)Performs scheduled PM's and unscheduled maintenance on all Lectra machines and equipment in a timely manner.Understand the functionality and controls of the Shop floor control system to do manual operation and to aid in fault findingResponsible for repairs of faulty equipment removed from production line during breakdowns.Assist with general maintenance.Maintain and repair all electrical and electronic systems for project facilities and equipment.Responsible for continuous improvement for the assigned areaResponsible for 5S for the assigned areaResponsible for self-study on all existing and new equipment to understand the working principal and diagrams to do effective fault findingThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

Minimum: Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringAt least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or similar industry, preferably automotiveExposure to electrical and mechanical backgroundAbility to achieve project deliverablesStrong analytical & Good Problem Solving
