Maintenance Technician Athens, Texas **Onsite** Contract $25/hr - $30/hr A global leader in energy management and automation is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is 100% onsite, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm located in Athens, Texas so local candidates are a must. It is a 6-month CT and the candidate must be available 24/7 for potential after hours support/ emergency call out. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Required Skills & Experience + High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. + 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, including conveyor systems, industrial wrappers, building maintenance. + Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills, with experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. + Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for industrial maintenance. + Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and blueprints. + Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs. + Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and climbing ladders. + Willingness to work flexible hours (3 shifts operations / 24 hours), including potential overtime and emergency callouts. **What You Will Be Doing** **Daily Responsibilities** + Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems and industrial wrappers. + Identify and replace faulty components, including belts, bearings, motors, PLC, and sensors. + Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems and industrial wrappers. + Complete general building repairs, including lighting, plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical work. + Maintain safety standards and adhere to building codes and regulations. + Implement preventive maintenance schedules across all relevant systems and equipment. + Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
