The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three years of experience in a skilled building/construction trade or facility maintenance, including knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and the maintaining of buildings/grounds. Knowledge of the New York State building code and of common practices, tools, terminology and safety precautions is required. Must also have the ability to read plans and blueprints and possess basic computer skills. A NYS Driver’s License and acceptable driving record are a must. Successful applicants will have the ability to work without close supervision, adapt to a wide variety of conditions and have pride in their workmanship. Overtime may be required at times, especially during inclement weather.
