Summary

Opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, changeovers, PMs and troubleshooting of equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.Working knowledge of PLC's.Perform quality checks.Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

Education / Experience / Skills

High School Education or Equivalent (GED).Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor is a plus.

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment.Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility is a plus.Experience with large transfer and progressive dies is a plus.Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework.Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.Able to work on 3rd shift (9:45pm - 5:45am).
