Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** The Maintenance Technician III is accountable for performing a variety of general, mechanical and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, repairing and moving of equipment throughout the assigned Avera facilities. **What you will do** + Operates and maintains boilers and takes appropriate action for safe operation. + Maintains all required records and pertinent information. + Has knowledge of trends, standards, and legalities of practice and activities of department and facility. + Reviews work, priority status and designated time schedules. + Consults with and keeps supervisor informed on progress and any problems with assigned projects. + Demonstrates the ability to perform and finish carpentry work. Assembles and installs basic cabinetry and interpret blueprints. + Demonstrates the ability to install sheetrock, plaster, metal studs (building materials) and perform caulking. + Demonstrates the ability to install locks and other door and cabinet hardware. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
