ResponsibilitiesTHIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanic will be responsible for locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Mechanics remove defective parts by dimantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. The Mechanic determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring insturments. Additionally, Mechanics will need to document any maintenance that may take place.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on cup packagers and carton sealingPerform preventive maintenance of Paper Machinery (PMC) and Thermoforming Cup Forming machinesPerform preventive maintenance and repair of carton sealer and related conveying equipmentProperly and accurately, complete all required records keeping, ordering and other necessary paperworkProper use and adherence to Lockout/Tagout ProceduresMust follow precise instructions and directionsAbility to read bludprints and technical diagramsPerform other duties as directedPractice good housekeepingObey all safety rules, regulations and policiesPerform tool changeovers on PMC and Sherwood cup forming machinesThe above is intended to describe the general contect of and the requirements for the performance of this postion.
