Facilities: Performs basic general facilities maintenance under some supervision. Mechanic: Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies plant mechanical equipment. Responsibilities: * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems. * Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs (e.g., fire risers, air compressors). * Respond promptly to maintenance requests, safety concerns, and emergencies (e.g., work orders). * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies (LOTO). * Install appliances, equipment, fixtures, and shelving. * Perform minor troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical equipment and systems, which may require isolating the malfunction, disassembly, and repair. * Serve as the site contact for relevant contractors such as roofers, electricians, and inspectors. Basic/Required Qualifications: * 5-7 years of maintenance experience with electrical and plumbing * Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used to maintain plant facilities. * Trade school education or equivalent experience * Ability to lift and move heavy objects (25 pounds). * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
