Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Peterlee, County Durham
Salary: Up to £35.682 per annum (£18.80/hour) Dependant on Experience + shift allowance premium
Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 36.5 hours per week
Relocation: Not supported with this role

Job Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Technical Storeman to join our team based at our Caterpillar Peterlee site, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining stores inventory plus receipting in and issuing out stores items. In addition, you will be completing bench work repairs on motors, pumps and welding harnesses ensuring there is sufficient stock to support operational requirements.
What You Will Do:
Completing Dynamic Risk Assessments along with adhering to the company’s Health and Safety policy
Utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP PM, Agility etc)
Receipt In / Issue Out stores items
Maintain stock / stock check
PM Pack preparation
Repair / Test robotic harnesses
Repair / Test hand-held harnesses
Program manual weld set parameters
Complete training and further learning as required
Maintenance bench work
What You Have:
An interest in problem solving and passion to learn
Highly motivated with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement
Strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and be comfortable to work independently
Experience in the use of hand tools and test equipment
Must be self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team environment
Top candidates will also have:
Experience of heavy fabrications, inc. MIG welding experience, or relative experience in a heavy fabrication environment
Experience working in a store environment
Experience in following PPM inspections
Basic electrical understanding
Working at height and confined space
FLT License
