Preventative Maintenance Tech Role

A preventative maintenance technician is a skilled tradesperson who performs routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal operation of machinery and systems. This includes inspecting, lubricating, adjusting, and repairing equipment to extend its lifespan and minimize downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Routine Inspections: Checking equipment for wear and tear, fluid levels, and proper functioning.    Lubrication: Applying lubricants to moving parts to reduce friction and wear. Adjustments: Tightening bolts, adjusting belts, and calibrating equipment to maintain optimal performance. Minor Repairs: Performing basic repairs on equipment to address minor issues and prevent them from escalating. Documentation: Recording maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and any necessary repairs. Following Schedules: Adhering to preventative maintenance schedules to ensure timely servicing of equipment. Safety Compliance: Following safety procedures and protocols when working with machinery and equipment.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

Technical Proficiency: Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose problems and identify solutions. Basic Math and Reading Comprehension: Essential for understanding manuals, taking measurements, and recording data. Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with supervisors and other team members about maintenance needs. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

BENEFITS AND PAY:

Competitive hourly range of $22 - $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Generous benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, sick leave as per state regulations, medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA/HSA, disability coverages, and a 401K plan with matching contributions.

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
