Maintenance Tech I - 2nd Shift

The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift is to maintain and repair equipment, to ensure that all equipment and productions line are operating in accordance to company standards. 

The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 2:45pm-11:00pm.

Ability to independently troubleshoot and improve upon existing manufacturing equipment. Assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements to existing equipment Track and report maintenance issues or future reference Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly Perform thorough work with resolve; follow thru on the repairs with feedback from internal customers. Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner Able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V. Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics. Able to use a digital voltmeter. Support maintenance activities as needed. Work flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed. Attend outside training/seminars for continual education. General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties. Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed.

Your Credentials:

Minimum of three 3-5 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience preferred. High School Diploma or Technical Degree preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively with all Quanex team members and outside resources. Must be detail-oriented, professional, self-driven, and flexible to the requirements of each project. Must be dependable and responsible. VFD, Motor Controls experience. PLC troubleshooting and modification experience. Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems. Basic knowledge of Chilled water systems. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems. Strong Electrical experience. Print Reading. Wiring. Troubleshooting. Must be assertive, drive and self-motivated. Ability to complete written reports. Computer Skills.

Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience and an electrical assessment conducted by Quanex beginning at; $25.00/hr. + $1.00 shift differential.
