Your Role:

 

The Maintenance Technician 1 will support the Milwaukee site’s maintenance activities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing equipment, facilities, and utility systems.

 

Shift hours: 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00amRequires flexibility to work a variety of shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and call-in).Complete corrective and preventive maintenance work ordersPerform tasks both independently and in teams.Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings for daily use on site.Maintain electrical and mechanical systems.Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic shop tools (grinder, drill press, sand blaster, band saw, etc.).Troubleshoot controls, VFDs, analytical equipment and instrumentation.Install and maintain electrical power and control circuits up to 120.

 

Physical Attributes:

 

Occasionally lift 50 pounds unassisted and additional weight with assistance.Walk long distances and be able to stay on your feet for eight hours.Regularly sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time.Use hands and feet to operate equipment.Regularly works near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and sources of electrical shock, vibrations, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic, or caustic chemicals for which protective equipment and procedures must be used. Workplace noise level is loud, occasionally very loud.Occasionally wear hard hat, safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, protective gloves, respirator, and face shield.Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus needed.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GEDValid driver’s license

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

1+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical/instrumentation, and/or mechanical maintenance.Ability to direct contractors and other technicians.Ability to generate process improvement solutions.Experience in Preventive & Predictive Maintenance.Experience with industrial equipment and plant utilities.Knowledge of LEAN and 6S concepts.Ability to use PC software and applications (CMMS, web browsers, Word, Excel, email).Ability to read, redline, and understand all types of drawings/schematics.Ability to identify parts needed for a repair.Ability to collaborate with other departments.Ability to read gauges, understand units of measure and use precision measuring equipment.Ability to understand materials of construction and chemical compatibility.Identify unsafe work conditions and report them to management.Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
