As part of our team you will work cross-functionally within Operations, Supply Chain, Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality in supporting day to day operations as well as projects. This role will also provide leadership and support to Maintenance Technicians with a focus on Safety, Reliability, Planned and Predictive Maintenance, Training, and Continuous Improvement. The ability to work multiple functions / multi-task and influence others is key to the role. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Department Manager and will work on day shift.
Position activities may include, but are not limited to:
Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training, mentoring, project management and other EHS responsibilities.
Lead, develop, and challenge the Maintenance Staff to create process stability.
Provide assistance to maintenance technicians as needed to ensure work can be performed safely.
Lead the development and support of Maintenance Technicians.
Plan and direct the activities of the Maintenance Team.
Provide training, coaching, performance planning, daily prioritization of work and feedback to develop direct reports and others.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve asset UEE, MTBF and MTTR
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS (Agility), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead focused improvement / problem solving activities with a cross functional team.
Work with Maintenance, Operations, and Resource Teams to refine and develop maintenance processes.
Manage and improve work order system, spare parts, tools, and supply inventory to minimize unplanned downtime and operating cost.
Partner with outside suppliers concerning service contracts andf ordering parts. Actively seek alternative suppliers for increased cost savings and equipment longevity.
Lead and provide support as needed on capital projects and energy initiatives.
Forge collaborative relationships with Maintenance peers throughout the Avery Dennison network.
Develop and maintain the Mechanical Integrity Program in accordance with OSHA PSM guidelines.
QualificationsRequired:
3+ years demonstrated success in plant maintenance or engineering leadership role
Experience with the development of a technical training strategy and talent development
Knowledge of Process Safety Management as it relates to the maintenance organization.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (including automation control, DCS system, mechanical drives and systems, PLCs, sensors, and motor controls) and facilities systems
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently in a dynamic factory environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to build rapport, influence and motivate others to excel.
Ability to work with others in a team environment.
Actively promote collaboration & teamwork and resolve conflicts.
Strong organization and computer skills - MS Office, CMMS (Agility), Google platform.
Preferred:
B.S. Degree in Engineering or related fields
Related accredited certifications
Experience in the field as a technician.
Exposure to Lean and TPM Principles.
Additional InformationThe salary range for this position is $80k - $100k / year.
