Lead Maintenance Technician - HIRING IMMEDIATELY - Franklin Park, IL

 

 

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday

 

 

Compensation:

Pay range $21.38-50.69/hr. based on experienceEligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Working knowledge of AC & DC motors and drives systemsAbility to isolate electrical and electronic problems                                               Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production equipmentCompletes general repairs to buildings and structures as requiredAbility to learn tool changes and machine setups on production and packaging equipmentEffectively communicate information to other Team Members at shift change and to Maintenance Leadership using Work order documents or logbookAbility to learn & follow written procedures as they relate to work orders, PM schedules, and Process Safety Management maintenance procedures with minimal follow-up from leadershipPossess a working knowledge of multi meters, amp meters and various test equipment is helpfulUnderstand and follow safe work rules in regards to cutting and welding, operating shop equipment and conducting mechanical and electrical repairsMust learn & follow all department and plant policies and procedures

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: You must meet the minimum job requirements to be considered for the position: Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency

Must possess strong leadership skillsMust have own hand toolsValid driver's license and Pactiv certification required; training providedMust be able operate the lathe, mill, and shop tools as requiredMust be able operate shop-welding equipment as requiredGood performance, safety and attendance recordsAbility to provide outstanding Safety, Performance and AttendanceFollow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Policy rules, CDC rules and have a team oriented demeanor

 

Skills:

Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions in EnglishStrong computer skillsGood interpersonal skillsMust be able to arrive on time for scheduled shiftsMust be able to write legibly on production and quality documentationMust be able to meet fast-paced working conditions. (ie. Manufacturing, packing houses, warehousing construction, fieldwork, other hot working environments)Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as requiredAbility to work any shift and rotate through on-call scheduleMust be able to safely operate forklifts and man lifts as requiredMinimum 2 years of completed technical school

Located 20 miles north west of Chicago, Franklin Park is just south of O'Hare Airport and is a village in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 18,333 at the 2010 census.

 

The plant was began plastics production in 1973 manufactures APET, and has approximately 200 employees.
