Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead 2nd shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota, Monday – Friday 3pm-11pm.

In this role you will determine priorities for, assign and coordinate work schedules of maintenance personnel and outside contractors to ensure daily schedule is complete.

What Success Looks Like:

Review job requests and determine cause of problems with parts and machines and needed repairs prior to assigning. Work with general contractors for building preparation, coordination and installation of new equipment. Determine whether machine should be shut down due to serious technical problems and situations that may require working with engineering department to resolve. Authorize machine shut down as necessary. Involved directly with the interviewing of all future department personnel. Carry out routine department operations by meeting regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor.

What You Bring:

Must have leadership skills and the ability to provide work direction, feedback, motivation to department. 5+ years of industrial maintenance/facilities experience is required. Work experience as a maintenance/journeyworker electrician preferred. Must complete CPR/First Aid training and respirator training.

The starting salary range for this position is $35.00, dependent on education/experience. Our second and third shifts receive and additional $2.50/hour shift differential.
