Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical technology, or related field. Experience in a forging or heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Familiarity with forging presses, induction furnaces, heat treatment equipment, and CNC machinery is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficient with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite. Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and industrial safety practices. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional weekends or holidays.Working Conditions:
Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment typical in a forging and machine shop plant. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility in Midway, GA. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems critical to our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team. Lead troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of forging presses, furnaces, machines, air compressors, HVAC systems, and other facility equipment. Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to minimize equipment downtime and support operational goals. Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) program, including documentation and continuous improvement. Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history. Assist in capital projects, equipment installations, and upgrades. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, parts, and services. Monitor and manage maintenance KPIs such as uptime, response time, and work order completion. Train and mentor maintenance technicians to enhance skill development and promote a culture of safety and accountability. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and corrective action as necessary. Oversee timekeeping and attendance tracking for the maintenance team; ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues. Assist in budget planning, cost control, and procurement of maintenance-related supplies. Perform other duties as assigned.
