Maintenance Supervisor

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor / Subcontractor Lead. Join our facilities Management team and play a key role in managing the site trades and subcontractors to deliver for our customer and contractual requirements. Reporting to Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Spotless Facilities Services (a Downer Company) delivers a range of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services to New Zealand Defence Force.

What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Managing our trades and subcontractors’ performance including Zero Harm, quality and productivity.Development of trades staff including delivering staff performance reviews.Along with our national Service Management Centre scheduling and planning the workloads of the internal trades team and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective jobs completion and KPI’s.Supporting the site with solid technical solutions, guiding team members, and providing steady and consistent leadership.Develop strong collaborative customer relationships and ensure customer interactions are positive and constructive.Enjoy being ‘hands-on’

Experience in a trade or similar industryExperience in managing a large team within a KPI framework.Experience in managing subcontractorsProven people leadership experience and a strong customer centric approach.A demonstrated ability to get the best out of a team.Experienced at effective resource planning and scheduling.A strong commitment to Health and Safety.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple demands.Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Must be computer literate and be able to use MS Outlook and MS Excel.Must hold a current full driver’s licence.
