The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing maintenance and mechanical support to the site and assisting in project work where required. The position is also responsible for the upkeep of all services to the site including building and grounds. The position also works with and controls the work of Contractors.

Location: Lonsdale, Adelaide Reporting to: Plant Manager Key responsibilities The Maintenance Supervisor is the principal contact and liaison person between the maintenance staff and the plant departments. They will ensure that the works requested are managed promptly & efficiently with a high level of quality & customer satisfaction. Manage the maintenance function to optimise the availability and productivity of plant and equipment including after hour call outs. Raises purchase requisitions and handles initial invoice processed for planned jobs and services Planning and scheduling preventative maintenance and shut-downs as well as Management of third-party contractors. Estimates cost of each work order in terms of direct labour, materials required and other costs Identify and implement cost reduction and reliability initiatives Manage the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes and safety, new technology and efficiency projects Responsible for taking ownership of project work delivery and driving performance improvement Ensure all documentation (registers, contracts, safety documents, calibration records) is up to date Hands on support of the maintenance fitter during his absence. Contribute to effective communication between the maintenance and other departments and to the induction and training of new and existing staff as required To work cooperatively with work colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment All maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations Ensure new plant and equipment are managed through the change management process and risk assessments are conducted Management of contractors on site such as ensuring inductions; certifications; JSAs/SWMS and relevant documentation Management of the Permit to Work System Strategies to minimize the environmental impact of maintenance activities (e.g., energy consumption; water saving etc.) Qualifications and skills Degree Graduate with Electrical or Mechanical relevant trade qualification. 5+ years of experience in a similar role with 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent troubleshooting ability coming from Food industry knowledge. Proven track record building solid working relationships Knowledgeable in Maintenance best practice. Expert in utilizing CMMS for day-to-day activities and analysis. Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good technical analysis ability and proficient in report writings. Fully proficient in interpreting CAD drawings, for electrical, mechanical and facilities applications. Excellent organization skills and strong employee engagement skills Evidence of excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, demonstrating the value of technical journaling and expanded use of this information.
