Maintenance Supervisor Overview Requisition Number: 7827 Date Posted: 6/9/2025 Location: Route 6 Center City: Carmel Category: Maintenance and Plant Operations Description The Arc Mid-Hudson, one of the largest employers in the Hudson Valley, with over 1300 employees, with locations in Ulster, Greene, and Putnam Counties, has an immediate openin g for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor located in Carmel. TheMaintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Director of Maintenance & Facilities will be responsible for overseeing projects being completed by assigned Maintenance Technicians and other assigned-agency staff. Oversight responsibility include (but are not limited to): Dayforce time & attendance, conduct quarterly reviews of houses/facility, administration of agency’s work ticket system assign maintenance work, ensuring the work is completed timely. + The Maintenance Supervisor will serve as a general handy person performing a variety of semi-skilled duties at designated locations owned and operate by The Arc Mid-Hudson. + Performs building and property maintenance involving a variety of skill sets including, but not limited to, carpentry, masonry, dry wall taping, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, landscaping, flooring and paving. + Operates fixed location machinery such as table saws, planers, grinders, etc. as well as uses hand held power tools, hand tools and pneumatic tools. + Responsible for snow and ice removal from paved surfaces which may involve shoveling, sweeping, operating snow blowers and/or trucks equipped with snow plows. + May be requested to assist in securing contractors for work under his purview, securing cost estimates and general work during the phases of the agency’s Request-for-Proposal process. + Communicate effectively with all staff to ensure consistency, efficiency and follow through of the goals of the department. + Ensure mandatory staff trainings are completed timely. + There will also be times when work must be accomplished on off hours including evenings and/or weekends as required. + Expected to respond to emergency situations when requested. + May be requested to perform other duties as they relate to Agency operations. HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/day hours, must be flexible STARTING SALARY: $60,405.80 Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Three (3) years of experience in a skilled building/construction trade or facility maintenance. + Good knowledge of the New York State building Code and of common practices, tools, terminology and safety precautions. + Must be able to read plans and blueprints and be able to follow written and oral instructions. + Computer skills required. + Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to The Arc Mid-Hudson, their insurance company, and any other regulatory agencies.
