Your day-to-day will include: + Leading and mentoring mechanics and preventative maintenance technicians + Coordinating maintenance schedules and assigning work across shop personnel + Overseeing diagnostics, repairs, and testing of trucks and heavy equipment + Managing inventory and securing cost-effective vendor pricing + Handling emergency road calls and coordinating outside service when needed + Supporting financial forecasting and maintaining departmental budgets + Ensuring compliance with DOT and corporate safety standards + Communicating regularly with the Region Maintenance Manager **✅ Requirements** + 5+ years of experience in truck, light, or heavy equipment maintenance (waste industry a plus) + Strong knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems + Proven leadership and team development skills + Working knowledge of DOT compliance + High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade/Technical School preferred) **💎 Benefits** + Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance + Flexible Spending Account (FSA) + Long & Short-Term Disability + Life Insurance + 401(k) with company match Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
