Maintenance Stockroom Operator (m/w/d)

Job Description:

The Maintenance Stockroom Operator (m/w/d) is responsible for efficient and effective storage and coordination of spare parts. The aim is to have all the necessary spare parts and tools, which are necessary for the optimal performance of the factory, available as and when required. This is delivered with a lean prespective and involves weighing up availability and reducing storage costs.

The working environment includes direct contact with customers in maintenance including technicains, team leaders, reliability engineers, planners and scheulders as well as Operations teams including technical leads.

As part of the project activities, the warehouse team supports the project teams to ensure an ideal storage of new materials in the storage system as well as selection of spare parts. This includes physical availability and correct documentation for future parts reorder.

Key responsibilities

Storage and administration of all spare parts required by the factory. Manage inventory lists through periodic stockchecks, reporting & rationalization of obsolete and unused equipment. Order parts ensuring proper quality of goods received, shortest possible delivery time & lowest cost.

Management of the stores warehouse to ensure order, cleanliness and availability of the parts in safe and hygienic manner inline with Mars requirements.

Coordination and management of all parts for the site including forwarding to the end user.

Responsible for inventory optimisation in conjunction with the Maintenance Team Leader and Reliability Engineers to minimize costs to ensure optimal availability and minimal stores inventory.

Input to Engineering projects through the Reliability Engineer to ensure the use of "standard spare parts" on projects accompanied with correct documentation. Input all new spare parts into stores.

Ensure the efficient and effective use of the SAP-PM module to manage maintenance inventory.

Lead the kitting process in partnership with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers to enable all planned jobs to have parts available in the workshop for the technician on the day of the job.

Project support for implementation of Small Minor (<$500k) AHC and Reliability Improvement projects through CAB and the maintenance expense budget.

Be a technology ambassador to find system opportunities to improve maintenance data collection and accuracy within the technical team.

Drive a data driven maintenance organization and Operational Excellence by creating data and KPI infrastructure in the Maintenance department.
