Maintenance Planner/Scheduler (Day Shift)

The role involves coordinating maintenance tasks, managing resources, tracking maintenance progress, and minimizing equipment downtime **In this role, you will:** **Maintenance Planning:** + Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for all equipment and facilities + Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders based on equipment needs, production schedules, and resource availability. + Create detailed job plans that outline necessary resources, tools, materials, and time for each task + Ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with production goals to minimize downtime and disruptions **Work Order Management:** + Review and approve incoming work requests for accuracy and completeness. + Create, track, and close work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). + Coordinate with technicians and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of work orders. + Track and update the status of work orders, ensuring any issues or delays are addressed promptly. **Resource Coordination:** + Ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for planned maintenance tasks. + Order spare parts and materials as needed, ensuring timely delivery to avoid project delays. + Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors for specialized parts and services. **Scheduling & Coordination:** + Develop and manage maintenance schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and minimal disruption to operations. + Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule downtime or maintenance windows. + Reschedule maintenance tasks as needed based on operational priorities or unforeseen issues. **Tracking & Reporting:** + Monitor maintenance performance metrics and generate reports on work orders, downtime, and equipment performance. + Track the completion of scheduled maintenance tasks and address any discrepancies. + Analyze maintenance trends to identify areas for improvement in planning or execution. **Continuous Improvement:** + Identify opportunities for improving maintenance planning and scheduling processes. + Propose and implement improvements in work order systems, job planning, and scheduling practices. + Ensure that all maintenance activities follow company standards and best practices **Collaboration & Communication:** + Work closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and production staff to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities. + Communicate maintenance schedules, job progress, and issues with relevant stakeholders. + Participate in meetings to discuss operational needs, maintenance priorities, and resource allocation **What we look for:** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within the food manufacturing or a similar industry. + Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems in a manufacturing environment. + Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices. + Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS). + Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills + Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across teams + Analytical mindset with the ability to assess work order completion and performance data. + Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required. + Ability to work in an office setting as well as occasionally visit manufacturing or maintenance areas. + Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments. + Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods. + Ability to work at heights, using ladders and scaffolding when necessary. + Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple scheduling demands at once **Education Level/Degree:** + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in maintenance management or a related field are a plus.
