Job Summary
Location: Supports two sites, one in Stockton, CA and one in Woodland, CA
This position is responsible for performing on-site maintenance planning and coordinating activities including basic planning, scheduling, directing, coordinating, and reporting. This position supports both the Woodland and Stockton California sites and will report to the Regional Operations Manager. Additionally, a dual dotted line reporting structure to the Maintenance Managers at both locations. Results are reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to the policies, procedures, and practices.
As a critical contributor to operational efficiency and reliability, this position directly impacts production outcomes and aligns maintenance strategies with organizational goals. The Planner/Scheduler collaborates closely with maintenance, operations, and management teams to develop and refine maintenance plans, optimize scheduling efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Other requirements:
Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS). Knowledge of power plant equipment, scheduling techniques, managing variances, and work planning. Proven planning and scheduling experience particularly in predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance. Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively within team environments. Experience in outage or turnaround planning in industrial environments is preferred. Knowledge of plant safety, policies and procedures, especially in areas such as chemical handling, high-energy systems, confined spaces, incipient fire suppression, first aid and rotating machinery preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Strong computer skills using MS Office products (word, excel, projects) and data analysis. Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader.
