Job Description:

Mars Wrigley is looking for a Maintenance Planner at the Elizabethtown, PA location.

Required Shift: 1st Shift

Monday- Friday 6:30am -3pm

 

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plays a vital role in enhancing equipment reliability and minimizing conversion costs through effective planning and scheduling practices. This position ensures efficient utilization of labor, materials, parts, and vendor services, serving as the key liaison between the maintenance department and plant operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience in maintenance mechanical, controls or electrical roleHands on SAP experienceProficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, OutlookDemonstrated experience as a team player

 

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and grippingAbility to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spacesAbility to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 12 hours in one shift)Ability to work in hot, cold and wet environmentsAbility to understand, communicate, read, and write in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate Degree in electrical/mechanical field or equivalent technical training/experience.Successful completion of a certified maintenance apprentice program1+ years of experience in the following categories, maintenance / facilities / machine shop / electrical / PDM or HVAC.Hydraulic and Pneumatic skills

 

What will be my Key Responsibilities?

Work Order Management: Review, verify, and ensure accuracy of work orders, including scope, priorities, and coding.Job Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with originators and managers to determine optimal execution methods and align with downtime opportunities.Resource & Material Identification: Identify and secure necessary materials, tools, and instructions; evaluate cost-effective options and suppliers.Scheduling: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of departmental activities to schedule work orders efficiently. Coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance with operations, maintenance leads and coordinators.Vendor Management: Define scope and costs, manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with company policies.Performance Analysis: Analyze maintenance metrics (e.g., work plan accuracy, schedule compliance, costs). And collaborate with Reliability Engineer to implement corrective actions.Continuous Improvement:  Refine plans post-execution, support inventory management, and contribute to problem-solving and PM optimization.Change Management & Additional Duties: Ensure proper procedures for equipment changes and handle other assigned tasks as needed.
