We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Planner at Barrow Mill, reporting to the Site Reliability Leader. The purpose of the role is to work with the Engineering & Asset Teams at Barrow Mill in the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure the condition of plant equipment is maintained to world class standards. The role will also see you continuously improving asset reliability with a desire to make a proactive difference.

The Role:

The primary focus of the role will be to lead the planning and scheduling of engineering maintenance activities in both tissue manufacturing and converting operations across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead maintenance task planning and work order management including.

Run daily SAP reports and review daily notifications for the site and advise on critical actions.

Work request approval, updating work orders to accurately reflect current work and reviewing daily new work orders.

Development and preparation of engineering work packages. Ensure work packs are available prior to the commencement of maintenance tasks.

Identification and allocation of resources for maintenance activities.

Creating maintenance shut plans using MS Project

Staging of parts in conjunction with the Engineering Stores team.

Plan, develop and confirm asset scheduled inspections and standard work associated with equipment condition alongside the Asset Engineers

Collaborate with mill production planners and Asset Teams to identify appropriate maintenance scheduled activities.

Support daily maintenance meetings, attending weekly management meetings to schedule work orders in the correct time period. Facilitate Weekly Engineering Review Meetings with the Asset Teams

Prepare work packages in anticipation of short shut opportunities. Obtaining quotes for materials and services, Order materials and services in SAP following pre-approval.

Ensure that statutory inspections are scheduled in SAP and completed to ensure site compliance.

Schedule maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production processes.

Agreeing work scopes with subcontractors and obtaining quotes against them.

Understanding of site safety arrangements, supervision of contractors and managing permitting systems.

The candidate will be ideally time served in a technical discipline, qualified to HNC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical experience.

Preferably have previous experience working within a manufacturing operation as part of a multidisciplined team, or in an automated or continuously operating process facility.

Experience of planning and scheduling techniques and the use of tools to manage this.

Experience of coordinating resources including contractors & suppliers.

Knowledge and experience of supervising/managing contractors on site.

Computer literacy, SAP, MS Project, Word, Excel etc.

Good communication and presentation skills.
