**Maintenance Planner**
**Job Description**
The role of the Maintenance Planner is to maximize operational efficiency of equipment, minimize unscheduled downtime, and extend the life expectancy of equipment through the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a preventive maintenance program. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all plannable maintenance work performed within the facility, as well as maintaining records and files essential for meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inventory assets and systems for inclusion in the preventive maintenance program.
+ Review all incoming preventive maintenance requests for completeness, accuracy, and nature of work requested. Ensure information is properly entered into the computerized maintenance management system.
+ Preplan and organize all maintenance outages.
+ Perform audits of completed preventative and corrective maintenance work.
+ Perform database queries of assets and their preventive maintenance schedules to ensure data integrity.
+ Review plans and specifications to identify assets for inclusion in the preventive maintenance program.
+ Seek input from Engineering in developing new maintenance task lists and identifying new assets for the program.
+ Assist supervisors and managers with concerns and modify the preventive maintenance program as necessary.
+ Visit work sites to observe work in progress and review preventive maintenance practices for improvement opportunities.
+ Conduct meetings with leadership involved in providing preventive maintenance.
+ Train Operations staff in the proper use of the preventive maintenance system and develop training materials for the CMMS.
+ Provide field tagging of new and existing assets.
+ Develop asset management workflows to include Problem-Cause-Remedy, equipment classes, and failure types.
+ Respond to requests for new assets or processes to be included in the preventive maintenance program.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with tools and parts management.
+ Proficiency in SAP is a plus.
+ Organizational skills in scheduling and maintenance planning.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
+ Strong management skills.
+ Experience with purchase orders and purchasing processes.
**Shift / Pay**
This position operates on **1st shift** with a work schedule of four **12-hour days** and **one 8-hour day** while production demand is high. **Flexibility with the schedule is important as start and end times may change initially** .
The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $70,000/year salary with quarterly bonuses, 401k match,

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, South Carolina
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
