Summary:
This position is responsible for planning maintenance activities and reports to the PBX Manager or PBX Supervisor. This is a career path job with team members in this position gaining experience necessary for maintenance management. Specific responsibilities include: Maintaining SAP PM System data and reporting. Analyzing data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling. Maintaining and developing enterprise wide Best Practice preventative maintenance. Ensuring a continuing review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history. Making recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization. Learning Universal Maintenance Standards to develop reasonable expectancies for the time to complete maintenance tasks. Identifying and labeling all new equipment in keeping with Tyson standards and keeping records current. Team member must perform the functions necessary for the orderly and efficient distribution of parts and equipment for the maintenance department to include cleaning, organizing, performing bin counts, and inventory to include inventory control. Team member will be responsible for efficient and economical inventories. Use of Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to Maintenance Manager. Planning maintenance work with regard to level of skill and safety training required to complete task. Reviewing SAP data from other Tyson locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations. Administering maintenance shift scheduling work order backlog and recommended planning for scheduled downtime work including scheduling availability of parts. Interfacing with engineering local management Operations Support and various other corporate departments as necessary and outside entities when working on special projects and when performing CIR development content. Interfacing with Operations Support concerning appropriate reports to develop track and report to management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Minimum of a high school or GED diploma. Any special training in maintenance or education beyond post high school level is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in house mechanical experience. Formal mechanical skills training received from Tyson maintenance training. Knowledge of parts room procedures and policies. Previous experience in successfully planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.

Special Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude organizational skills interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills are an absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk on hard, wet, and slippery surfaces for long periods of time, crouch, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally crawl. Must be able to repetitively lift (occasionally overhead), push, pull, and carry 60 pounds individually and more with assistance. Must be able to continuously and repetitively grasp, reach, pinch, and hold small, medium, and large sized objects frequently. Must be able to work in cold and/or hot, humid, wet, environment.
Must have good attendance 6 points max and Mang/Support and Mang 4 attendance incidents max as of day posting closes.
This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility, therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those local Team Members are selected, then other Team Members from other locations will be given consideration.
