Maintenance Officer

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. You will play a vital part in supporting smooth day-to-day operations by carrying out preventive maintenance, addressing repair needs, and coordinating with service providers when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure functionality and safety.
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
+ Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs or specialized services.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, supplies, and repair schedules.
+ Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies, and request replenishment when needed.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
+ Provide recommendations for facility improvements and cost-effective maintenance practices.
Qualifications
+ Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer, Technician, or similar role.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and carry out repairs efficiently.
+ Good organizational and time-management skills.
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for urgent repairs.
+ Vocational/technical certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
