An\nexcellent career opportunity is available for a Maintenance Mechanic –\nLevel 2, located at UOP's Research and Pilot Plant facility in Des Plaines, IL.
Job\nresponsibilities include repair and service of pumps, compressors, seals,\npacking and bearings to support R&D Pilot Plant and laboratory facilities; and working with all types of hand tools to complete troubleshooting, repairs,\npreventative maintenance, and/or modifications to equipment. You will be\nexpected to complete all work using safe work practices as defined by\nHoneywell.
While the job is based\nout of the Des Plaines, IL facility, must be capable of working at our McCook\nfacility if the site requires support.

YOU MUST HAVE
*High School Diploma or GED is required.
*Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
*Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.
*Experience and skill working with hand tools.
*Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, work on elevated platforms as well as climb ladders and portable lifts.
WE VALUE
*Mechanical experience.
*Welding experience.
*Pipefitting experience.
*Understanding and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
*Excellent verbal communication skills.
*Capable of working infrequently at our Riverside facility in McCook, IL.
