Job summary:
This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairs of the building, assisting with repairs for machinery and mechanical equipment, providing support for Production, Warehouse and Quality Control in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and service/warranty agreements, to maintain operating conditions and plant productivity. This requires knowledge of, or ability to learn, a wide array of mechanical and electrical skills. Responsible for repairs and troubleshooting of the various machine tools. Additionally carrying out general facilities maintenance repairs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Carrying out repairs, maintenance and general upkeep of plant facilities, grounds and systems to maintain optimum operating condition and efficiency, using such skills as mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, painting and fabricating
· Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of site equipment and production equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and service/warranty agreements
· Perform preventative maintenance of equipment
· Completion of associated maintenance paperwork, including equipment maintenance records, drawing and schematic changes as necessary.
· Support, as requested, root cause incident investigation, mitigation, and prevention programs
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in equipment repair and site maintenance.
· Vocational training and certification is a plus
· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Skills and Experience:
· Must have knowledge of general maintenance procedures, techniques and requirements for the repair, installation, modification and up keep of specified plant facilities, systems, equipment and grounds.
· Requires skill in the use of basic hand and power tools, test equipment, fork lift and company vehicle. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, a wide array of mechanical and electrical skills.
· Understanding of electrical controls, machines and mechanical applications.
· Determining root causes and associated corrective action or adjustment on production equipment and general facilities maintenance.
· Hydraulics, Power transmission, basic electrical control circuits, CNC repairs, knowledge of servo drives & motors, lubrication and preventative maintenance, tool and fixture making, engine repair, DC control circuits, pneumatics, wiring and associated insulation would be advantageous
· Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematic drawings and diagrams.
