THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate opening in Greenville, South Carolina for a Maintenance Manager whose responsibilities include leading a team of skilled dayshift & rotating technicians to support the reactive & planned maintenance needs of a production area within an industrial manufacturing facility. This position includes the evaluation of team efficiency and animation of progress initiatives within a framework of defined standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Promote an interdependent safety culture resulting in behaviors that effectively identify & mitigate risks associated with work being performed.Establish clear expectations / responsibilities & mentor team to function autonomously.Ensure quality of work completed by maintenance team.Maintain shop areas to cleanliness standards.Monitor performance of planned maintenance activities and guide the team toward improved effectiveness.Coordinate support & response to reactive events when needed to protect product flow.Organize / animate problem solving on most penalizing issues to identify & resolve system root causes.Create & monitor competency development plan for each team member.Provide feedback on individual performance & coordinate the essential support for discovered opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.Effective problem-solving skills and industrial maintenance knowledge.Experience as a maintenance manager in a manufacturing facility.Knowledge of key indicators to assess maintenance performance and the levers to influence.Experienced in use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.Ability to process data from multiple sources and develop insightful summaries.Attention to detail, data accuracy.Critical thinking that leads to the right questions to gain understanding and challenge the status quo.
