Job Summary
IFF is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at the IFF Carrollton site. This location manufactures flavor ingredients that can be found in consumer products that people across the U.S. and around the world use every day. In this role you will be responsible for output from maintenance team, overview of maintenance spares inventory, uptime of production assets and upkeep of facilities and doing so with highest regard for Occupational and Food safety requirements. The Maintenance manager will also be instrumental in strategizing plant upgrades, process improvements and delivering on Capex projects to maximize output and capacity release.This position reports to the Site Plant Manager and be a key member of the Operations leadership team.
Job Responsibilities:
Management responsibility for the Maintenance department Responsible for the authorization and approval for all maintenance overtime and shift adjustments. Oversee the maintenance employee performance appraisal function annually.Ensure the highest level of quality finish on all maintenance work. Responsible for enforcing GMP standards in all maintenance and contractor work in the plantResponsible for the timely completion of PM programs, annual compliance inspections, and all adhoc and breakdown maintenance workOversight of maintaining proper spare part inventory levels to minimize disruption to operationsEnsure that all tasks are completed in a safe manner, working closely with the EHS and Food safety teams to grow the safety culture. Responsibility includes the enforcement of safety rules and procedures of the plant with both maintenance employees and contractorsSupport and participate in activities that promote employee ownership and engagement in E,H&S, including leading Process safety initiativesSupport site incident investigation system, ensuring proper classification, thorough root cause investigations and appropriate corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.Gather data and maintain systems to track maintenance output, uptime, and any other measures required to support improvement and capacity releaseProvide training and support as needed to develop maintenance team members.Help support Carrollton’s response teams, in drills and actual incidentsSupport and give technical input into all continuous improvement initiatives in operationsOversee Site Capex projects and engage with vendorsEnsure maintenance purchases are processed and managed as per requirementsJob Qualifications:
Technical Education in either Electrical or Mechanical Field10+ years of industrial maintenance experience5+ years of leadership/managerial experience Experience with MRO/stock parts, permit issues, and PM plans.Experience with Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems.Proven success initiating productivity improvements to include implementation of new equipment or new processStrong knowledge of GMP and Food and Safety Practices.Experience implementing & maintaining site wide safety-related programs.Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime, evenings, holidays as required, and weekends as neededProcess Safety Management (PSM).Six Sigma/ Lean Manufacturing trainingWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
