Description
Assists with providing overall management for facility maintenance. Provides daily oversight and quality control of all aspects of facility maintenance.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred. One to Three years of experience in facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVAC or Plumbing license preferred.
Assists with providing overall management for facility maintenance. May provide supervision to the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Facility Manager. Manages, supervises and trains Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time student workers assigned to the Maintenance Department.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations at our Job Corps Center. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance and repair activities across the facility to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, including staff supervision and work order completion.
+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all center grounds, buildings, systems, and equipment.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, and building codes.
+ Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
+ Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
+ Participate in budgeting, cost estimates, and project planning.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
+ Promote and model safety practices at all times.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (required); trade certification or associate degree in facilities management or related field (preferred).
+ Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
+ Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
+ Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Experience working in an educational or residential environment is a plus.
+ Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
