**The Opportunity**
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for providing supervision, administration, and technical direction to the area team members and ensure work is occurring in an efficient and effective manner. They ensures all Safety Standards will be followed, coordinates scheduling of crews and equipment. Must be able to communicate and co-ordinate between other departments divisionally and develop an atmosphere of teamwork and be able to resolve conflicts positively.
**The Team**
The role will report to the Plant Manager and is expected to have up to 4 direct reports.
**Responsibilities**
+ Supervision of team members
+ Managing team members timecard use, including attendance, vacation time and overtime
+ Assisting with the selection and orientation of new team members
+ Ensuring training and development of team members takes place
+ Conducting performance reviews of team members
+ Cooperating with all areas within the company to ensure overall company goals are met
+ Manage budgets and control costs
+ Implementing cost-effective procedures and process improvements
+ Developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures
+ Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies
+ Assist with Maintenance Technician tasks as required
+ Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ An applicable Journeyman Trade Certification
+ 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing, Agriculture, Mechanical or Industrial industries in a managerial role
+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast paced environment
+ Innovative, ability to identify and implement new processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team and project
+ Developed communication skills, written/oral
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Self-motivated
+ Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
+ Developed decision making skills
+ Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc.
