Job Title: Maintenance Manager\n

FLSA Status: Exempt\n

Summary Monitors and tracks usage and repair of tools and equipment, orders new equipment or repair work as needed by performing the following duties personally.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nOrganize and document all required maintenance records for cranes, hoists, forklifts, tractors and fleet vehicles.\nNegotiates with vendors for new tool orders and repairs for equipment in the plant.\nMonitor inventory of all tools and equipment to prevent theft and loss.\nInvestigate abuse and excessive damage to tools and equipment to control costs to facility.\nManage log of tools assigned to each employee to prevent loss.\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities \n

Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n

Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n3 years relevant experience in maintenance\nExtensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems\nPrevious managerial experience highly preferred\nExperience managing multiple vendors\nCan effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities\nMakes safety a priority at all times\n\n
