Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing a formalized approach to facility planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and facilities services. He/she will ensure that all work meets established performance standards and codes, and that all customer needs are fulfilled. This position helps to oversee a diverse technical and crafts staff and subcontractors and ensures that workers are appropriately trained, qualified, and certified to safely accomplish assigned tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform annual performance evaluations for direct reports and develop growth plans (Complete by end of February) Responsible to schedule maintenance team, ensuring proper coverage 24/7/365 including scheduled shutdowns Responsible for ensuring maintenance team addresses trouble calls and executes maintenance and repair activities on the facility, applicable equipment and machines in a timely manner with proper communication Assists technicians with advanced repairs Ensure maintenance team executes proper communication between crews, leadership team and customer Ensure scheduling and planning of maintenance activities on applicable equipment is executed to support changes in production/facility systems and the installation of new equipment Ensure the maintenance team properly diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs simple and complex problems. Ensure repairs meet equipment standards identified by blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs Modify/Update training plan for maintenance team (direct reports). Ensure all teammates meet training requirements.  Mentor and develop improvement plans as necessary Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customers at all levels that support open dialogue Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to complete maintenance and repair ensuring timely completion of work Audit, Inspect and/or assists maintenance team to ensure correct maintenance and repair of facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and structural equipment Maximize the efficiency and productivity of the maintenance team to ensure successful execution of work per established KPI’s Manage the maintenance team to ensure all work orders are properly completed and closed within required timeframe (Audit Frequency will be Weekly) Prepares technical documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information to include updating maintenance plans and specifications annually Coordinates work with outside contractors and production department supervisors to minimize production impact during Preventative Maintenance or system repairs Responds to emergencies for resolving immediate production or safety concerns Estimated field work is 50% and admin/Office is 50%.

Qualifications:

Bachelors' Degree in relevant technical field (such as facilities management, construction management, or relevant engineering field) or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years’ experience Leading Maintenance Organization CFM/FMP certification and/or Technical License (HVAC/Electrical) preferred Completion of OSHA 30 preferred Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Training preferred Advanced proficiency MS Windows Applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word Professional and friendly demeanor, willing to go above and beyond to accomplish the mission (Complete Ownership) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
