Job Purpose:
Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position leading maintenance related activities for all machines and supervises/assigns tasks to a team of maintenance hourly technicians during non-working hours.Job Responsibilities:
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Manages the maintenance budget for the facility including running and reviewing reports and maintaining a spreadsheet of YTD expenditures.Utilizes systems, such as KIWI, to track maintenance key performance measures, including mechanical/electrical downtime, maintenance reliability indices, maintenance breakdowns, etc.Manages the work order system and tracks work orders through completion. Compiles a report related to work order efficiency for the leadership team at the facility.Conducts a weekly maintenance priority meeting with the maintenance and production leadership team at the facility to review the open notifications and work order backlog. The purpose of this meeting is to plan and prioritize projects for the next 7 days and garner leadership support of these activitiesResponsible for planning of maintenance projects including scheduling of personnel (employees and contractors), maintaining project budget, accessing machine manuals, ensuring needed parts are in inventory, working with production team to schedule time and ensuring work orders are in the system, updated and completed throughout the projectWorks in conjunction with the local leadership team to schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities to keep all equipment in good working order.Leads EHS Initiatives to Ensure Environmental ComplianceLeads Weekly Maintenance Priority MeetingLeads Environmental Health & Safety initiatives in the facility including air permitting, storm water compliance, HAZMAT, wastewater compliance, roof maintenance, Infrared inspections, compressed air management, cooling tower/chiller, air handlers, fire & safety system, inspections, contractor training, employee training, electrical, hot work, etc.Responsible for the inventory/parts management of the facility’s storeroom, including maintenance of inventory in the system ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained, store-room organization, and kitting for projects.Manages and maintains parts and tool inventory and coordinates and manages routine service contractors.Determines material needs for repairs, research options, obtain pricing.Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and work order administration activities of the Maintenance Department.Source material available locally and maintain purchase records.Inspects all maintenance materials and services upon delivery to the Maintenance Department.Assists in ensuring proper plant receiving procedures are followed.Track equipment repair, building repair, or project costs using the SAP system or other available methods and report to management on a routine basis and as requested.In consultation with the respective manager, utilizes current site maintenance personnel to perform work before sourcing external contract services. This may be accomplished by using all maintenance resources from the site to address work anywhere across the site. Provides support in the areas of safety, maintenance, building security, housekeeping, grounds keeping, cost effectiveness, and promotes continuous improvement.Analyzes high maintenance cost centers and in consultation with the respective manager, implements solutions to reduce and improve the cost.Work with vendors to consolidate purchases where cost savings can be derivedPlans Routine Maintenance Tasks & Preventative Maintenance Events.Maintain a neat and orderly fashion for all catalogues, bulletins, and technical information in the Maintenance Office, including drawings and blueprints, machine manuals, vendor catalogues and all other technical and non-technical information required to be in the Maintenance Department library.Other duties as assigned by leadership.Work Experience:
Education:
● No Education PreferencesHigh school diploma or GED. College and/or related technical courses, preferred.Knowledge of servo motors required.PLC, AC/DC drives, servers and systemsSolid Computer / System skill set is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuite is required.Prior supervisory/leadership experience and/or demonstrated situational leadership skills is required.Prior mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance troubleshooting experience is required. Corrugated experience is highly preferred.Prior experience with predictive/preventative maintenance programs, inventory and capital project planning is highly preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.The ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively is required.Flexible to work weekends and/or off shiftsAble and willing to work off shifts and weekends.Key competencies required include:
